The Den
You enter the Den, and spot a glowing fireplace in the distance. You sigh to yourself, and move over to it eagerly. You welcome the glance to dry off your soaking wet clothes after such a harrowing journey through the desolate mountains getting here. You plop down in front of the fire, and extend your cold palms eagerly. "Ahhhhh." you sigh as the warmth fills your body.
"Yes, it is rather nice, isn't it?" a voice behind you says.
You turn suddenly, startled, only to find the owner of the Estate staring at you. His icy gaze sends shivers up and down your spine. "Y..Yes." you manage to murmur. You could've sworn there was no one standing the room when you came in......but.......No, that's crazy. Too crazy. You dismiss the notion.
Your host smiles faintly.
"Oh dear, where are my manners?" he says. "Would you like something to drink? Tea perhaps, or how about hot chocolate to warm your bones?"
"N...No thanks." you say.
"Suit yourself." The owner of the Estate sits down in a large leather chair facing the fire place. He sips a dark liquid slowly. "Mmmmmm." he whispers. "Vienna. I guess it has been a long time, hasn't it?"
"What's that?" you say.
"Oh, nothing." he sighs. "Absolutely nothing at all. Well, I suppose that since you sought me out, i'd better be as gracious a host as I can be. Do you have any questions for me? Anything you want to ask? Anything at all?"
"Yes." you say. "Actually, I did have a few things I wanted to ask." You hesitate for a moment, as you realize his piercing gaze is upon you once more.
What will you say?
What's the story behind this place?
Why are so many rooms still Under Construction?
Nevermind, I.....ummm.....No, I don't have anything to ask.
